Eat 'Real' Snacks

Updated: Aug 26, 2019

I have been gluten free for quite some years now and finding a yummy snack to sit down on a Sunday with on the sofa was a tricky one in the early days. But from the awareness of more people becoming more intolerant to foods there has been a massive rise in the amount of ‘free from’ ranges in the supermarkets.

When I started my journey the ‘free from’ section in a supermarket was a very small section within one aisle and now there are aisles designated to ‘free from’ customers with new products being launched on a weekly basis and with that my diet has expanded.

I have always been a person who likes to try new things and I love my food! I was introduced to the eat real snack brand first when I shopped in Holland and Barrett where they sold small bags of the ‘houmous crisps’. I loved them from the first try and have been hooked ever since. Some people say they are a bit bland but when you have come from not being able to even have a snack, these were a god send!

From then the brand has grown over the years and they now have the options of quiona, lentil, houmous and veggie snacks all in different and yummy flavours! One of my favourites is chilli and lemon. As well as being gluten free a lot of their products are for a vegans too which is fantastic news. Supermarkets sell a small selection compared to what you see on their website – see below.

If you are looking for a gluten and vegan snack, that you can binge on without the guilt, then give the eat real products a try – they do not disappoint!
